![]() Shader system rebuilt as part of port to Vulkan. Improved industrial zones in US autogen & reorganized library. This fixes real weather downloading.Īutopilot & aircraft systems updates includes: Propeller feathering, Anti- and de-ice systems, Oxygen system, Vacuum systems and many others. These are just some of the major features included in the update to X-Plane 11.32. X-Plane 11.32 continues this evolution by incorporating the newest technology available in computing and graphics processing, resulting in breathtaking visual and dynamic effects. Over the years it has always been the policy of Laminar Research to continually improve X-Plane, providing the most realistic flight simulation available, with flight modeling so accurate that it has been adopted by numerous commercial aviation organizations. X-Plane 11.32 continues the evolution of the desktop version of X-Plane. including the Aerosoft CRJ-200 and Daytona Beach and Zurich airports from Aerosoft While I do not fully agree with all of the aspects of how LR drives development, the joy I get from their sim more than outperforms the "deficiencies".NOW Available for a limited time only: "X-Plane special bundle. I even dropped, for now, those great SimHeaeven enhancements and use only default XP12 scenery which is actually good enough for my "airliner" short hops. Unfortunately scenery isn't by itself sufficient to create the "feel of flight". XP12 is a FLIGHT simulator, and there simply are no alternatives for me other than those mentioned above, as much as I have tried to digest the well known alternative with it's huge amount of "paprika" named "World Scenery". Honestly, there are simply no alternatives, well, with the exception of, maybe, P3D + Active Sky + FSLabs A319/320, although both the Toliss A319 and the FF A320 U are converging towards the level of complexity and detail of the FSLabs airbuses, and flight-wise more convincing. I am more than satisfied with XP12 at it's present state, and glad that I bought it and have finally started to fill it with some really great aircraft, mostly updates from their XP11 versions that are working beautifully in XP12.Īfter more that 2 years alternating between platforms, and combat flight simulators apart ( I have put an end to use those because the Real World daily events completely blocked my will to even play WW2 air duels with a few friends, just for the sake of enjoying the flight dynamics and damage models on those sims), I have found my satisfaction with good-old Aerowinx PSX and XP12. I'm glad to read his development updates again! I would like to take my hat off to Ben Supnik, who, for me, is the true Energy behind the XP Project, and I believe, the reason for most of the success of XP11 and now, XP12 too. These are all wishes for the long time run, and surely not absolute priorities for me. I honestly hope that they don't drop the idea of a sound and functional default ATC, for both VFR and IFR and, preferably, encompassing complex procedures (SIDs / STARs). I find that some of it's features show hints of even more interesting things to come, and I watched a video of the main developer behind that new systems, which somehow reinforced my belief in these particular feature being further developed. ATC in XP12 is very interesting, even if still at an embryonic state. For instance, although very basic in it's way of reproducing flight, the other simulator has implemented negative flap settings in a rather effective way, and since Austin cares so much for aerodynamics, he should probably consider the use of negative flaps like those used on some STOL GA and in particular on gliders. There are details of the flight modelling which I would also like to see addressed in the future. The clouds being somehow visible when they should at night is another feature I am looking fwd into. ![]() At LPCS we have APAPI on rws 17 and 35 and XP12 displays it as a VASI. I believe I saw, in the area of runway lighting enhancements, that they will include additional variants, such as APAPIs which are not available at present (?), maybe T-VASI or three bar VASI too although probably seldom used these days.
